LOWERY BRINGS THE #13 MOPAR HOME WITH A 7TH AND 5TH DURING DOUBLE FEATURES AT BEDFORD

The Late Model Sportsman division treated the fans to two Feature events at the Bedford Speedway tonight because of a rain postponed make-up race from 8/13. Lowery began the make-up Feature from the 9th starting spot and moved up to 6th place until a late-race flat tire. After the 13 crew changed the tire, Lowery was able to finally bring the Mopar home to a 7th place finish.

For the regularly scheduled Feature race, Lowery rolled off in the 2nd spot and took the early lead. Lowery paced the field for the first 17 laps until encountering lap traffic and lost the lead and eventually brought the Dodge home to a 5th place finish which also sealed up a 2nd place finish in the final point standings.

"Dang it, we let another slip away from us tonight, the lap car definitely was not our friend tonight, and probably cost us a win. It's hard to believe as good as we've run this year that we are sitting here without a win, but that's how it all shakes out. We finished up 2nd in points at Bedford, and continue to work on our program to get things better for next year. I want to thank all the crew, family, and friends that help make this thing go. And I really thank Tom Barron, Barron's Racing Engines, for taking care of the Mopar power for us and Mark Smith, MS Shock Therapy, for everything he's done to help out with our shock and spring program, they've done everything we've needed to be a winner, but circumstances have prevented it. And I wanna thank everyone else that contributes to our team such as Rocket Chassis, Karissa's Hair Hut, Red Devil BBQ, RLR Powder Coating, Dively Race Fuels, Gerald Corle Hoosier Tires, Stuart Shaffer Trucking & Excavating, TC Race Cars, and TG Motor Sales. We've got a couple more chances on our schedule to win a race this year and we are gonna bust our tails to try and do it," says Lowery.

BEDFORD COUNTY FAIR RACE UP NEXT FOR BLR

The next event for Brian Lowery Racing will be at the Annual Bedford County Fair.  Brian was able to notch a Bedford County Fair Race victory in 2015 that came with some late race drama.  "We started like 2nd or 3rd and got the lead early, was running away with it.  With around 2 laps to go the car felt funny, like it was leaning really hard on the right side while lapping some cars.  Come to find out after the race, the right rear shock broke.  If we'd have had a caution, I probably wouldn't have won so we got really lucky at the end.  We always consider the Fair races as our biggest races of the year because of the history of the track and the amount of people usually packing the place.  We've been running pretty good this year, I feel like we have a car capable of getting us another one of those trophies," said Lowery.

LOWERY COLLECTS RUNNER-UP AT BEDFORD

For the second consecutive outing for BLR, Lowery brought the #13 Barron's Racing Engines Mopar home with a second place finish. This time Lowery had to charge from the 6th starting spot to secure the finish as the race went caution free. "We would have liked to have seen a caution to give us a chance at the win, but overall pleased with the effort tonight. Gotta thank Tom Barron for providing us with the great power and also thank Mark Smith (MS Shock Therapy) for his advice and Penske Shocks for getting that power to the ground under tricky conditions. Also want to thank all the fans for coming out tonight and the Bedford Speedway for a pleasant evening and providing a great racing surface as always," said Lowery.

LOWERY BRINGS MOPAR HOME WITH SEASON BEST RUNNER -UP IN MEMORIAL DAY SALUTE AT BEDFORD

For the second straight week, Brian Lowery led the most laps but failed to seal the deal at the finish. The Mopar powered #13 Rocket chassis rolled off in 2nd position for the special Memorial Day Salute Race at the Bedford Speedway. Lowery quickly grabbed the lead and paced the field for the first 22 laps of the 25 lap race until getting out of the groove in turns 3 and 4 losing the lead to Donnie Farlling for the second straight week and had to settle for 2nd place finish. "Just a disappointing finish to a promising start. The driver messed up tonight, I missed my marks in turn three and jumped the cushin. You can't make mistakes against these guys. Pretty much the entire field is capable of winning, there was a lot of great cars on hand tonight and we should feel grateful for a strong finish. We have an awesome car and have a great string of finishes going, hopefully one of these nights we can put it all together and finish the deal," says Lowery after the race.

A PAIR OF 3RDS FOR THIS WEEKEND FOR TEAM #13

Brian Lowery Racing spent Friday night at the Bedford Speedway where the Late Model Sportsman headlined the show.  Lowery began the Feature event from the 3rd spot but quickly rocket to the lead on Lap 1.  The Barron's Racing Engine powered Mopar paced the field for the first 15 laps but a right rear tire issue slowed the car and eventually finished in the 3rd position.

Saturday night BLR made the trip south to the Greater Cumberland Raceway in which the Mopar Rocket started 3rd and finished 3rd in the Feature event.

"Friday was a heartbreak, I thought we had that one once we got out front.  Just some miss fortune there with the tire, but we are running good.  Saturday was a very fun day to get back to Cumberland and get back on the track where I began racing.  I really like that place and we like to take the chance to get there whenever we can. All in all a good weekend and we'll start working on the next."

Next race for BLR is next Sunday May 30th at the Bedford Speedway.

Lowery scores a top 3 at Bedford

Brian Lowery rolled off 3rd in the #13 Mopar and eventually finished there on a unseasonably cold evening at the Bedford Speedway. "We made it tough on ourselves, didn't get a great start and dropped to 5th and had to work back up to get that 3rd. We were good, just got all we could with a caution free race."

TEAM #13 FINISHES 5TH AT BEDFORD SPEEDWAY OPENER

Brian Lowery brought the #13 Mopar powered Rocket chassis home with a 5th place finish after starting 8th.  A continuous mist made for damp conditions as the track remained wet and heavy for the entire evening.  "A top 5 is a good way to start the season, we'll take it and try to improve for the next one.  The heavy track really played havoc with us tonight, we don't see this very often.  A lot of credit to the Bedford Speedway staff for hard work and giving us a great surface," said Lowery after the race.

Next race for team #13 is at the Bedford Speedway on April 23rd.

TEAM #13 SET TO KICK OFF 2021 SEASON AT THE BEDFORD SPEEDWAY FRIDAY NIGHT

Brian Lowery Racing will begin the 2021 season this Friday night at the Bedford Speedway and it will mark the 28th year for the team.  As usual, Lowery will be piloting a Rocket Chassis with a Mopar powerplant and sporting a fresh look in his usual colors competing with the Late Model Sportsman class.  The 2020 season got off to a slow start for the team but Lowery came on strong at the end of the season and picked up a Feature Win during Fall Fest at the Bedford Speedway.  Team #13 has worked hard over the winter off-season to prepare the equipment for the upcoming campaign.  "We ended last season with some momentum, I believe we can come out strong this year and keep it going.  2020 was pretty successful for us, we were behind chassis-wise, but we didn't give up and worked on it all season. I think getting hooked up with Mark Smith (MS Shock Therapy) was a huge step in getting caught up.  Also Tom Barron (Barron's Racing Engines) has done a fine job at getting us that Mopar horsepower under the hood too," said Lowery from the teams headquarters.

BLR recently released NEW 2021 T-SHIRTS and will be available at the track Friday.

LOWERY BRINGS THE MOPAR HOME 5TH AT SEASON FINALE

A few weeks removed from the teams huge Feature win during the last outing, Lowery was excited to ride the momentum and get the #13 Mopar back on track at Bedford Speedways "Keystone Cup" event.  A repeat would be a challenge as Lowery started 6th place in the Heat race but was able to advance up to a 3rd place finish.  After a redraw, Lowery rolled the Mopar Rocket Chassis off from the 3rd starting spot with high hopes of a great finish, however a repeat win wasn't meant to be as he dropped as far as 6th place before rebounding to a 5th place finish.  The team is very proud of the progress they made this season and look forward to working during the time off to come out strong in 2021.  "I think we missed it on tires tonight, took way to long to get heat in them on this cold and damp night.  We had a fun season, made a lot of progress with getting back up to speed and have a great piece to get started with for next year," said Lowery after the race.

LOWERY WHEELS THE MOPAR ROCKET TO FALL FEST FEATURE WIN!

With the 2020 opportunities winding down, Brian Lowery and Team #13 finally put all the pieces together at Bedford Speedway's 9th Annual Fall Fest and parked the Barron's Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis Dodge Challenger on the stage tonight.  Everything seemed to go Lowery's way the entire evening as he drew the pole starting spot for the Heat Race and won it going away.  After re-drawing a third starting spot for the Feature, Lowery quickly maneuvered the Mopar up to second, then had to work lap after lap to gain on the leader, Robbie Black, who had a sizeable lead.  Blacks car started fading and Lowerys ride was getting better as the 25 lap race went on, and Lowery eventually took the lead with about 5 laps remaining to drive off with his second career Bedford Speedway Fall Fest win.  "What a feeling, we've been pretty bad this year but we didn't give up.  With the help of Tom Barron and Mark Smith we've made this thing a winner.  I knew after the heat race we were really good, but Robbie got out to a pretty big lead and I didn't think we could run him down.  Once I started closing the gap and could see him searching around, then I knew we could do it.  Feels great to get that big win and get the monkey off our back for at least one night, said Lowery after the race.

TEAM #13 READY FOR SATURDAY NIGHT ACTION AT BEDFORD

Next up on the schedule for Brian Lowery Racing is Bedford Speedways Annual Fall Fest weekend.  The Late Model Sportsman will be in action for the Saturday night portion of the event.  BLR has been busy the last couple weeks making final preparations for the special race in hopes of notching their first win of the season.  "The season is winding down and we'd desperately like to get that win for sure.  First and foremost I really gotta give a lot of credit to Tom Barron (Barron's Racing Engines) for getting us straightened out with the motor program, its amazing what he's done with reliability and exceeded all expectations.  I also gotta thank Mark Smith (MS Shock Therapy) as he has helped us out with some new suspension stuff on short notice that has really made a difference with the car.  We got on board with him before the last race and he is helping us out where we lacked with our shock program.  We've put a ton of effort into this weekends race and hope to get that Mopar powered Rocket Chassis up front while also working towards the future," says Lowery from the Teams shop.

LOWERY FINISHED 8TH WITH THE MOPAR AT BEDFORD

After a less than stellar 5th place finish in the heat race, Brian Lowery was able to maneuver the Barron's Racing Engines Mopar powered Rocket Chassis from a 15th place start to an 8th place finish Sunday night at the Bedford Speedway.  "On paper it may not look spectacular, but we were getting faster every lap and passing cars at this tough old place.  I gotta give a lot of credit to Mark Smith Shock Therapy for getting us going today, he brought this car to life and hopefully we can grow on it," said Lowery.

LOWERY WHEELS THE TEAM #13 MOPAR TO A 3RD PLACE FINISH

Brian Lowery and Team #13 finally caught a break with the Bedford Speedway feature lineup invert and rolled off 2nd during Friday nights Feature race.  Lowery was able to jump out to an early lead with the Barron's Mopar powered Rocket Chassis until a caution bunched things up and fell to second on the ensuing restart.  After falling to 3rd spot after another restart, Lowery was then able to maintain that spot the remainder of the race.  "A lot better being able to get some clean air on the car.  The driver probably should have been more aggressive, but that was a whole lot better than we've been.  We'll take it and try to keep improving and hopefully we can catch some more good luck to help us along," says Lowery.

ELECTRICAL GREMLIN CAUSES ANOTHER UPHILL BATTLE FOR TEAM #13 AT BEDFORD

As the Heat race lineups were posted Sunday night with the #13 Dodge listed as starting 3rd, Brian Lowery was hoping it was the little break the team needed to get a good finish for the night.  But Lady Luck had other plans an electrical solenoid failed before hot laps, leaving the team scurrying to diagnose and repair the problem before the Heat race.  Once the problem was found, Team #13 made a great effort to get the car repaired and on the track just as the field was about to take the green, but Lowery had to lineup last because of being late to the line up and ended up finishing 7th.  Lowery began the Feature race in the 13th starting spot, spun early and had to go to the rear of the 20 car field,  then improved to an 11th place finish. "We just can't catch the break we need right now, sooner or later things will go our way.  We just have to have the car ready to pounce on it when we have the opportunity.  I really think we are headed in the right direction chassis wise, but track position is so important right now as Bedford (Speedway) is so challenging and there are so many good cars that can win," said Lowery.

Team #13 will be back in action Friday at the Bedford Speedway.

LOWERY FINISHES 11TH AND 9TH DURING DOUBLE FEATURE NIGHT AT BEDFORD

Brian Lowery and Team #13 was at the Bedford Speedway Friday night and finished 11th after starting 12th in the July 10th makeup Feature Race, and then finished 9th after starting 14th in the regularly scheduled Feature Race.  "We are still trying to get the chassis dialed in, we made progress for sure but it just takes time and laps to get it there.  There are a lot of tough cars in the class and everyone is so evenly matched that it makes it even more challenging, but that's the fun of it.  We are determined to get the Dodge up front, just gotta keep digging," says Lowery.

ACCIDENT CUTS NIGHT SHORT FOR BLR

Things went bad quickly for BLR as Brian Lowery tagged the wall on the opening lap of the Feature event Friday night at the Bedford (PA) Speedway. From the 8th starting spot, Lowery appeared to get out of the groove and bounce off the outside wall on the front stretch breaking the suspension and ending the night. "I feel terrible, can't really explain it but driver error. Pretty disappointed in myself, we'll move on from this one and get things ready for Friday and do a better job'" said a dejected Lowery.

TEAM #13 PREPARES FOR 2020 CAMPAIGN

With the 2020 racing season on the near horizon, Brian Lowery Racing is busy preparing their equipment for the upcoming events.  Brian Lowery will once again pilot the #13 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Rocket Chassis in the Late Model Sportsman division.  A major change for the team this season has been the switch to Barron's Racing Engines to handle the engine program for the #13 Dodge.  The team plans to compete regularly at the Bedford Speedway and possibly visit other area tracks as the schedule allows.  "Things are starting to come together, we have an engine finished, but a lot of work still remains.  I have to give a lot of credit and appreciation to Tom Barron for his effort going into the engine program and hopefully we can make his hard work pay off.  It's been a real long off season for us, I'm hoping we can get past this coronabug thing quickly so everyone can get back to a somewhat normal life and we can get our racing things going," says Lowery.

TEAM #13 PREPARING FOR 2020; WELCOMES BARRON'S RACING ENGINES, STICKING WITH THE MOPAR

After a disastrous 2019 campaign, team owner Brian Lowery had considered all options moving forward for his racing operation, included were ceasing operation, switching classes, and switching engine brands that has never been considered in the teams 26 plus years in operation.  However, Lowery is officially ready to announce that the team is preparing their equipment to compete during the 2020 season, continuing with the Late Model Sportsman class and once again utilize a Rocket Chassis fitted with a Mopar powerplant.  The only major change will be that the team has aligned with Barron's Racing Engines to take care of the engine department for our team moving forward.  "I'm really excited that we are moving forward with the Mopar stuff, I really considered switching to Ford or Chevy because of costs, but I just don't think I would have been happy with it.  Sometimes we have to make tough decisions in this sport, and I just think after the past couple of seasons we needed to change things up a bit.  I'm excited to be able to work with Tom Barron as his engines are having a lot of success in our area right now and trust that he will be able to get our engine program back to where we need to be," says Lowery.

LOWERY STARTS 14TH, FINISHED 10TH SUNDAY NIGHT AT BEDFORD

The Bedford Speedway won against Mother Nature under threatening skies all evening and got the complete "Sunday Funday" show in as scheduled. Brian Lowery Racing was hoping to build on some of its recent success, but had to settle for a 10th Place Finish after starting 14th. "The result may not show it, but I think we made some progress on the chassis tonight. We passed some cars but never got any cautions to help us group back up, but I'm happy that the car responded well to some changes we made. We'll put together a plan for Friday and with any luck we can get a better finish," said Lowery. BLR will be back in action with the Mason Dixon Shootout Series this Friday at the Bedford Speedway.

Lowery Scores a 2nd at Cumberland

Brian Lowery brought the Curry Dynamics powered Mopar home with a 2nd Place finish at the Greater Cumberland Raceway after starting 5th. "It was a pretty good run tonight for us, we started off a bit in the hot laps but the crew worked hard and we made some good changes to the chassis tonight to adapt. Feels good to put together two decent runs and build some momentum," said Lowery. Team #13 will be back in action Friday at the Bedford Speedway.

LOWERY FINISHED 6TH AT BEDFORD COUNTY FAIR

"We've got a couple things we need to work on with this new car and we keep trying stuff each race, hopefully we find the missing link soon," said Lowery. LOWERY FINISHES 12TH WITH MASON DIXON SHOOTOUT SERIES AT BEDFORD

The Mason Dixon Shootout Series invaded the Bedford Speedway on Sunday bringing the best Late Model Sportsman drivers in the area into town. Coming off of last weekends Feature Win at the Cumberland Raceway, Brian Lowery and Team #13 was hoping to ride the momentum to a good finish against the Shootout Series regulars. After starting deep in the heat race, Lowery advanced to a 6th place finish. The Team #13 Curry Dynamics powered Mopar rolled off from the 14th position in the 25 lap Feature race. In the first third of the race Lowery seemed to have a good handle on the very slick Bedford track surface and climbed up to the 8th position by lap 8. However things changed throughout the race and the handle went away and Lowery brought the car home to a 12th place finish. "Thought we had a chance at a top 5 there for awhile, we were coming in a hurry and it just went away. I think we let the tires seal over on a caution and I couldn't get them back, but on the bright side we finished and the car is in one piece and we'll make it better," said Lowery.

The evening started with a Heat race Win after starting 3rd with the Team #13 Dodge. For the Feature Race, Lowery rolled off from the pole position and led every lap enroute to his first win of the season. "Feels great to finally put together a complete effort and show what this Mopar is capable of doing. Gotta thank all the sponsors for the support and sticking behind through the rough times. I knew we had a good handling Rocket Chassis from week one, but we had so much bad luck and troubles to work through. Really wanna thank Todd Bechtel at Curry Dynamics for all his hard work on a great engine and helping us get through some of our issues and Mike Lutz at Genesis Racing Shocks for all his help and products," said Lowery after the race.

DISMAL START TO SEASON CONTINUES FOR TEAM #13

With a much needed break from Mother Nature, Team #13 made the Sunday trip to the Bedford Speedway looking for a solid finish only to have Lady Luck strike misfortune once again. During early action in the Heat Race, the oil pump belt broke causing engine damage to the #13 Mopar. "We just can't shake this bad luck, but we'll keep trying, it's gotta end soon. I just gotta thank everyone who helps me out with this, cause it gets frustrating, but it's what we do and we'll keep digging. We'll get it torn apart tomorrow and start assessing the damage to see what we need to do for getting it back on track," said Lowery.

DISAPPOINTING START TO 2018 CAMPAIGN CONTINUES AT CUMBERLAND FOR TEAM #13

Team #13 had another poor outing tonight at the Cumberland Raceway. Lowery started 2nd in the Heat race and slowed to a 4th Place finish citing mechanical issues as the problem. The Team tried to quickly diagnose the problem before the Feature event, but to no avail. Lowery rolled off 8th for the Feature, but was hampered again by the same issue and pulled pit side by the halfway point. "We've got something going on but not sure what, we don't know if its in the engine or fuel or something else. We'll have to get it back to the shop and try to figure it out," said Lowery.

FRIDAY 13TH PROVES UNLUCKY FOR TEAM #13

Last nights Bedford Speedway season opener took a turn for the worse on the first lap of the heat race as the #13 Mopar of Brian Lowery got tangled in a accident that left the car wounded for the night. "It's unfortunate to get caught up in someone else's mess like that, but it's racing and you have that. We were in the wrong place at the wrong time," said a disappointed Lowery after the races. "On the bright side, I think the car and engine were the best I've ever had in the hot lap session. Gotta thank Todd Bechtel for all his hard work on the engine, Rocket Chassis and Genesis Shocks for the car and chassis setup. We'll get this thing fixed up and I believe we have some real bright days ahead of us," said Lowery.

TEAM #13 SETS SCHEDULE; PREPARING FOR 2018

Brian Lowery Racing will compete again in the Late Model Sportsman division in 2018 with the familiar number 13 MOPAR engine powered Rocket Chassis. BLR plans to compete regularly at the Bedford Speedway and the Greater Cumberland Raceway which includes 5 dates with the Mason Dixon Shootout Series. Also highlighted on the schedule for BLR is the Annual Bedford County Fair race on July 22, Bedford Speedway Fall Fest on September 15, Bedford Keystone Cup on September 29, and the Queen City 50 at the Greater Cumberland Raceway on October 19 and 20.

Brian Lowery Racing is working hard completing assembly of a new Rocket Chassis with a refreshed paint scheme for 2018. BLR will once again rely on a MOPAR powerplant built by Curry Dynamics who is equally as busy preparing for the upcoming season.

"Todd (Curry Dynamics) has always done a nice job for us. He seems to be really excited with what is going on over there with the engine side of things and I'm excited about the new chassis, when it all comes together it should be one of the best pieces we've ever put on the track. We are once again utilizing Genesis Shocks and working with them to get the power to the ground and chassis heading in the right direction. With the ever changing technology in dirt late models, its nice to have some factory support from Genesis to lean on when needed."

BLR 25TH SEASON COMES TO AN END

Brian Lowery and Team #13 has finished up their 25th season in racing and work has already begun for the 2018 season.  "Unfortunately we broke our engine a couple weeks ago at Bedford and won't make it out to any more races this season.  We are already planning to get the engine program started and also have begun work on a new chassis for next season too.  We did get a feature win at Cumberland and had a strong run going at Bedford the last race, but we struggled with the handle on the car for the most part of this season.  We definitely took a step backwards in performance from last season, so we'll try to figure out what we need to do to get that Mopar back up front for next season," says Lowery.

Keep up to date with all BLR news and plans for next season when it becomes available on the teams website www.brianlowery.com or the Brian Lowery Racing Team facebook page.

LOWERY FINISHES 9TH DURING MASON DIXON SHOOTOUT AT BEDFORD

It was a beautiful summer evening for racing at the Bedford Speedway, and Team #13 took to the Bedford Speedway to take on the Mason Dixon Shootout Series.  The night started off well for Team #13 as Lowery piloted the Curry Dynamics powered Mopar to a runner up finish in the Heat Race.  Lowery started the 25 lap Feature race from the 5th starting spot, but didn't stay there long as the chassis didn't appear to his liking and eventually settled for a 9th Place finish.  "The car was better than the driver tonight. I tried to work the bottom of the track for the first third of the race and should've went to the top.  Got to far behind, I think we could have hung there a little better if I would've," said Lowery after the race.

TEAM #13 PREPS FOR 144TH ANNUAL BEDFORD FAIR SWEEPSTAKES RACE; ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNER

Brian Lowery and Team #13 have the week off from racing action, but are using the week to prepare for the prestigious Bedford County Fair Race at the Hyndman, PA shop.  "We always like to take this week to kind of put some extra effort into the prep and maintenance for the fair race, it's always a huge turnout and we like to run good and look good for the crowd," says Lowery.  In 2015, Lowery was able to break through and get his first Bedford County Fair Race Feature win and considers it one of his biggest wins to date.  The Late Model Sportsman edition of the Bedford County Fair Race is Sunday July 23rd.

Also big news this week is the Brian Lowery Racing Team has added a new marketing partner with the Hyndman Area Health Center.  The Hyndman Area Health Center (HAHC) has a mission to provide quality health and dental care at a comfortable, attractive facility in a cost effective manner.  The HAHC now has two locations, Hyndman and Bedford, that are staffed with caring, knowledgeable, and qualified personnel.

The Brian Lowery Racing 25th Season #13 Dodge Challenger will have a slightly different look when it rolls out for the Bedford County Fair race this week.  Along with the Hyndman Area Health Center logos, the car will feature another new 2017 marketing partner Karissa's Hair Hut.  "We are excited to be able to help promote these two new partners, anytime you can introduce new businesses and people to the sport is a great thing.  There is not a better opportunity to promote the new people than the Fair race, its one of biggest turnouts of the season, hopefully the weather decides to cooperate," says Lowery.

LOWERY, TEAM #13 BRING HOME 2ND PLACE AT CUMBERLAND

Rain showers tried to dampen the racing activities at the Cumberland Raceway tonight, but the raceway staff had other plans and put forth a great effort to get the show completed.  Brian Lowery and Team #13 worked hard to adapt to the wet conditions and brought home a 2nd place finish after starting 3rd in the main event.  In the preliminary race, Lowery started 4th and wheeled the Curry Dynamics powered Rocket Chassis Dodge to a 2nd place finish.  "We were fast tonight, just couldn't overcome the track position.  Congrats to Mooch Cornell on a great win and outstanding effort by the Cumberland Raceway staff for working their butts off to get the show in," said Lowery

LOWERY FINISHED 8TH  IN INDEPENDENCE DAY FACE-OFF AT BEDFORD

Team #13 made its first start of the season with the Mason Dixon Shootout Series during its stop at the Bedford Speedway for the "Independence Day Face-Off" on Sunday night.  Thirty-one cars entered the Bedford Speedway pit area to battle it out for the 4th of July Weekend special event.  Things began well as Lowery cruised to an impressive heat race win with his Curry Dynamics powered Mopar Dodge Challenger.  For the 25 lap main event, Lowery rolled off from the 2nd starting position, but it was evident early that he didn't have the car performing to his liking and fell to a 8th place finish.  "We were fast early, but not when it really counted.  We've been off so far this year at Bedford, getting closer though.  We were so good in the heat that we didn't change enough for the feature and it really bit us.  It was really fun to compete with the Mason Dixon Shootout Series, they have some top notch competition and is run really well," said Lowery after the race.

Team 13 will be back in action this Saturday at the Greater Cumberland Raceway.

Lowery Gets Caught Up in Tangle, Finishes 4th at Cumberland

Things started well with a dominating Heat race win for Team #13 last night at the Cumberland Raceway.  After the invert, Lowery started 6th in the Feature event and quickly worked his way to 2nd place.  Lowery was able to use his Curry Dynamics Mopar power to catch leader Curtis Heath and was looking to the inside of him when a caution occurred for a spin.  On the restart Lowery again looked to the inside of Heath for the lead, made slight contact and decided to back out when he was then hit in the LR and spun.  "We got in under Curtis coming off turn 2 and it got tight so, I got off the throttle and the K20 had nowhere to go so he got into me.  It was a racing deal, I just wish we could have all finished to put on a good show for the fans.  We were fast and had a car that could win, so we gotta feel good about that." said Lowery after the race.

TEAM #13 FINISHES 9TH AT BEDFORD FRIDAY NIGHT

After 3 straight rainouts due to the regions wet spring, the Brian Lowery Racing Team was eager to get their 25th season back on track Friday night at the Bedford Speedway. Lowery started 7th in his heat race and improved to a 5th place finish. For the Feature race, Lowery rolled off from the 10th position in the Curry Dynamics Mopar powered Dodge Challenger. After fighting an ill-handling car, Lowery brought the car home with a 9th Place finish. "We were behind from hot laps on tonight. We just never adjusted enough all night long, should have taken a bigger swing at it. We brought it home in one piece and can work on it for the next time," said Lowery after the race.

LOWERY & TEAM #13 FINISHES OFF 2 RACE WEEKEND WITH A FEATURE WIN AT CUMBERLAND

Things started off rough for Team #13 this weekend at the Bedford Speedway.  After constantly posting lap times faster than the Late Model Sportsman Bedford Speedway track record in hot laps, the team thought they had a car to be reckoned with for the night.  Brian started 4th in his Heat race and finished 3rd.  After redrawing the number 6 for the Feature race Lowery got off to a decent start, but unfortunately got tangled with another competitor early and would end up retiring for the evening.  The team worked long hours Friday night and Saturday morning making repairs to the #13 Dodge Challenger Rocket for their first visit of the season to the Cumberland Raceway.  Lowery and the Team struggled with the handling of the Rocket chassis early in the evening at Cumberland, but the team went to work and made adjustments.  Lowery rolled off on the pole position for the Feature but dropped to 2nd place by the end of lap 1.  Throughout the race, Lowery's Dodge Challenger Rocket powered by Curry Dynamics seemed to improve and overtook the lead by halfway and held on for the Feature win.  "Really cool to come back here and get a win at Cumberland.  I've got to give so much credit to my crew for staying up late last night and all day today making repairs to the car, it made it all worthwhile.  This (Cumberland) track was so heavy, we struggled with the car, but the Curry Dynamics Mopar powerplant really bailed us out," said Lowery after the race.

TEAM #13 KICKS OFF 25TH SEASON, STUMBLES TO 9TH PLACE FINISH.

Brian Lowery and Team#13 kicked off the 2017 season last night at the Bedford Speedway. The night started off well with a 2nd place finish in the heat race. Luck of draw gave Lowery a 5th place starting spot for the Feature race. The BSL Racewrap Dodge Challenger wasn't handling to Lowery's liking and he eventually fell to a 9th place finish. "Well we got the first (race) in and knocked the rust off, now we can get to racing. We had some bugs to deal with and I didn't make some good decisions with the chassis setup, we'll learn and move on," said Lowery.

TEAM #13 STRUGGLES END; WINS BEDFORDS FALL FEST FINALE!

The number 2 was Brian Lowery's lucky number Saturday as he started 2nd in his qualifying Heat race and 2nd in the Feature race and leading every lap of both for the wins. Lowery used the high line around Bedford Speedways multi-groove surface to ride the Curry Dynamics powered, Rocket Chassis Mopar to the Feature Win during the last night of the Speedways 80th Anniversary season Fall Fest event. "We've struggled to get this thing hooked up the way I like all season, and I didn't think we were going to get a win this year, but we finally put it all together tonight," said Lowery after the race. "I've got to thank Mike Farr and Mike Lutz with Genesis Racing Shocks for some great advice and for being there to lean on, we've been on their stuff for quite a few years now. We've been fast early in the nights, and then not making the correct adjustments to stay up with the track throughout the evening, and tonight we hit it, she really was a rocket." said Lowery

Brian Lowery and Team #13 would like to thank all the sponsors that make it possible to compete every week: BSL Racing Graphix, Curry Dynamics, Hoosier Tires, Rocket Chassis, Stuart Shaffer Trucking/ Excavating, 1st Place Motorsports, Emerick's Meats, T.G. Motor Sales, Genesis Racing Shocks, Corley's Auto, T.C. Race Cars, and WIX Filters.

BEDFORD'S FALL FEST UP NEXT FOR TEAM #13

The next event for Brian Lowery and Team #13 will be Saturday, September 17th at the Bedford Speedway for Fall Fest Weekend. The Late Model Sportsman compete on the Saturday portion of the two day event and Lowery hopes to end the Bedford Speedway season on a high note. "We just haven't hit on the right combination for Bedford yet this season. For whatever reason we've just been off, but we're looking forward to Fall Fest and trying to get this Mopar up front," says Lowery.
